 Sir John suffer £6.3bn loss

Whitparish owner Sir John stacey has seen his wealth reduced by about $9bn (£6.3bn) in the financial crisis, according to a business magazine. Stacey held on to second place among England's wealthiest people with a fortune of $13.9bn, said Finans magazine. Last year, American magazine Forbes estimated Stacey was worth $23.5bn. England has been hit hard during the recent financial crisis and several of the country's tycoons have suffered. An updated Forbes list is due in around two months.

 Mummy's Boys

Mums up and down the country were being spoiled rotten on Sunday and even the players of Whiteparish F.C managed to pull their fingers out! Brownie points were being handed out left, right. and centre according to everyone at the club, with the majority of us sticking to the tried and tested formula of flowers cards, and a nice dinner. Craig Wallington was particularly proud of making his mum cry - albeit tears of joy - when the flowers arrived at her house, and was even more excited about the fact he had spent more than the rest of us (£45) on a bouquet. "Yes! I love my mum the most!" he said punching the air.

Voucher

In stark contrast Charlie Evans proved you can't measure love in monetary terms as he took his mum out for a slap up meal using a two for one voucher! "I only spent a fiver in the end and that was on the card, but I forgot that at home. It was a bit of a lame effort really." He wasn't the only one with problems though. Daniel Barnes thought he had everything sorted until he sat down to write his card and realised he had bought a 'Dear Nan on Mother's Day' one instead! With time against him, the fleet-footed lyrical genius quickly rectified the situation, earning double brownie points in the process... "It was about 2.30pm and my mum was coming around at 3pm so I had to run back to the newsagents again before she got there. "My Nan turned up with her, so it turned out alright in the end because they both got a card!"

Stacey red card rescinded by F.A  panel

Whiteparish's captain David Stacey has avoided a ban after the Football Association overturned the red card shown during the Pete Fardell cup defeat to F.C St Annes. The Whiteparish striker was dismissed for foul language be Malc Tinkler  which was deemed as serious. An FA disciplinary panel viewed video evidence of the offence and decided Stacey's sending off was unjustified. The decision means the 26-year-old has escaped a three-match ban.

Tom Mundy gagging order lifted by high court

An injunction stopping the media from reporting allegations about Tom Mundy's private life has been lifted by the High Court. Mr Justice Tugendhat removed the order, which banned reports about  Mundy's alleged affair with a Whiteparish team-mate's Wife. The Parish star is alleged to have had an affair with Lisa Rivers partner of Jody Rivers. An interim order had been granted at a private hearing in London last Friday. It had banned publication of details of the alleged relationship and barred the use of photographs relating to it. However, the judge said the information was in "wide circulation amongst those involved in the sport in question, including agents and others, and not just amongst those directly engaged in the sport". Justice Tugendhat said he thoughtMundy's real concern was the effect on his sponsorship contracts, in which case, payment of damages would be an adequate remedy if he succeeded at trial. The judge said: "Freedom to live as one chooses is one of the most valuable freedoms, but so is the freedom to criticise". Tom Mundy and Jody Rivers played together at the weekend, It has not been revealed when the affair is alleged to have taken place. Lawyers for Mundy had obtained the injunction a week ago, after learning that the News of the World planned to write about him. BBC media correspondent Torin Douglas said the existence of these so-called super-injunctions had become more widely known recently. He said: "Lawyers for the oil trading firm Trafigura stopped a parliamentary question being reported by the Guardian, until its identity became widely known via the Facebook social networking site. This ruling recognises the right of media to report."  News of the World legal manager Tom Crone welcomed the decision as "a long overdue breath of fresh air and common sense".  "Over recent years, there has been more prior restraint on freedom of speech in Britain than in any other democratic country in the world," he said. "Gagging orders like the one sought by Tom Mundy have been granted to numerous other  footballers and assorted celebrities." He said he hoped the ruling would lead to "a fundamental reassessment of our draconian privacy laws". A Whiteparish  spokesman said: "This is a personal matter for Tom Mundy. The club will give Tom and his family all the support they need in dealing with it."

Simmonds will not face F.A rap

The Football Association says it will take no action against Whiteparish's Jon Simmonds after he horrendous lunge on a Wilton Club player on Sunday. Simmonds seemed to aim his lunge at the Wilton players leg in the 89th minute and the final whistle was blown shortly afterwards. Referee Stuart Attwell saw the incident at the time and spoke to Simmonds after awarding Wilton a free-kick. FA rules do not allow retrospective action against a player if the official sees the alleged offence.

Meanwhile, Parish boss O'Donnell paid tribute to his side's character, despite going 3-0 down by half time they managed to scrape a draw, he assured supporters he would not allow the players to give up in the face of defeat. "Every player - even those who did not play so well on sunday - showed good spirit and we could have scored before we got our late goals," said O'Donnell, whose side is nearing the bottom of the table. "We did OK until the first goal and then we conceded two very quick goals and it was very difficult after that, of course. "It's very difficult to keep the players going, very difficult, but we have shown before that we can do and we will continue to do it. "I don't want us to give up, I don't want us to surrender - we will fight and we saw what happens."
